Educational Background: AA Degree from Los Angeles City College in 1978. Attended East Third Street Music Settlement in New York City. Was a student at Jazzmobile IS 201 under the auspices of Dr. Billy Taylor, in New York City.

Experience: Former Associate Professor at the University of Miami, under Fred Wickstrom. Over twenty-five years as a professional musician, having worked with over 100 major artists.

Awards: Certificate of Recognition as a Folklorist and Regional Artist, from Sandra B. Morton, Secretary of State. Also received Certificate of Appreciation from Mayor Pinellas for Outstanding Community Contributions.
