Instruments Taught: Piano, Music Theory, History, and Re-training for injured pianist.

Times Available: Morning, Afternoon, and Evening.

Rates: Offering Forty-Five minute and Sixty minute private lessons with additional small group musicianship classes and special events averaging to a rate of approximately $10.00 per Half Hour. Two terms per year with each term's tuition payable in Five monthly payments.

Educational Background: B.M. in Piano Performance - Gordon college - Wenham, Massachusetts. M.M. in Piano Performance - University of Alabama - Tuscaloosa, Alabama. 1996 to Present: Regular private study in New York City with Edna Golandsky (a leading exponent of the work of Dorothy Taubman). Ms. McLelland is also a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music through MTNA (Music Teachers National Association).

Experience: Over twenty years of teaching experience through independent piano studios, colleges, and universities. Has served on the piano faculties of Mississippi College, William Carey College, Alabama School fo Fine Arts, and as an assistant "P.A" teacher at the Taubman International Summer Piano Institute. Live solo and chamber performances heard on public television and public radio; additional solo and collaborative performances with serveral orchestras and chamber groups. Professional affiliations include: MTNA, AMTA, MMF, NFMC, AFMC, and BMTA.

Awards: Regular AMTA pre-college state winner. AMTA college state winner. Gordon College Music Dept. Scholarship - Louise McAllister Award. MTNA National Collegiate Artist Piano Cometition (State Winner, Divisional HM - Alternate to National Winner). Recipient of a MTNA Teacher Enrichment Grant.

Additional: Offering quality instruction for students of all ages and levels of advancement in piano, music theory, organ, re-training for technically limited or injured musicians, and special pre-school piano group class using the Music for Little Mozarts series by Alfred Publishing Co. Also offering special workshops and student events such as Summer Piano Camps, Baroque Festivals, Technic Clinics and more. Students can enjoy their music making in well equipped studios featuring grand, upright, and electronic pianos, computer lab and more. Primary studio overlooks Paradise Lake and is conveniently situated near the Riverchase Galleria Mall off of Hwy 150 in Hoover, Alabama. Scholarships are available through the MTNA Music Link Program.
