Educational Background: Earned a Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance in l977 from Oakland University, Rochester, MI, studying for 4 years under world class artist Flavio Varani.

Experience: I have appeared as soloist with a number of local symphony orchetras and I continue to appear in concert throughout the Detroit Metro area. I am a freelance church organist playing in many churches of various demoninations throughout the metro area. I am currently choir director of Grosse Pointe Unitarian Church. I have been teaching piano privately since college.

Awards: Sally Borus Scholarship award in college. Placed in Annual Cranbrook Piano Competition. Won concerto competition.

Additional: I teach out of my home studio in the Nine Mile and Woodward area. Taking a classical approach, I thouroughly train my students to be excellent musicians through good sightreading, techinique, repertoire, and performance. Students "test drive" their pieces in masterclasses where they play for each other. Students play in recital twice a year, and participate in Federation Festival as well as American Guild of Music competition. My students score high and place in competition.
